The turbos give only a slightly better fuel consumption. That's what consumers are looking for. If BMW can do that, then the M car sells so much better up north.Remember, buyers of these cars pay higher insurances and overall maintenance , so if economy was factored in it just helps a little.

The styling is very decent and the front apron gives the RS cars a nice aggressive front, but I won't buy it over a BM. never days

Only for the V10 version, any other would just be for posing purposes. Believe me when I tell the v8 version isn't all that. I've done a track day in one and there was no excitement at all.

Guys a a realist, a 2008 R8 costs £40k. The equivalent year M3 costs £25. For stares,space , power, economy , drive build quality the M3 gives me all of that and a piece of history 40 yrs in the making.if money was no object then give me a GT3 4.0 RS - yes Porsche... As for the Audi, it ain't no thorough bred, borrowing engines from RS's and Lambo
