Are all drivers ignorant to road signs and law?

You guys should come down and experience the driving in Northern Cape....... I swear, I thought Gauteng had the worst drivers, but these guys really rank number 1. Standing at the only traffic light in town, it's my turn to turn right (flashing turn phase) and the guy standing opposite me wanting to drive straight across just pulls off and nearly smack my car from the side. He then proceeds to lean out his windows and swears at me in words I dare not repeat for driving infront of him. Stupid bloody idiot obviously bought his license. And believe me, this is a daily occurence at our lone traffic light.....

Been reading through this thread this morning...

Just my 2c, apart from the total disregard for the law of the road there also seems to be a total lack of courtesy from road users toward each other.

As an example the road I take to work every single morning and afternoon involves me having to turn right into a T-Junction from the main road, No stop or yield signs so you are pretty much dependent on oncoming traffic either slowing down or stopping to let you turn across their lane in the T-Junction.

Every morning and afternoon it is the same, cars simply flying past and looking at you as though "how dare you try to turn in here". However the best part of the day is that it is normally (80%) of the time Taxi Drivers that will slow down and allow you to turn.
