Is it a good idea or bad idea? power?problems? have you fooled the dealer and kept your motorplan? who did yours?

And by the way is the smg a weak gearbox ( is breaking common?)

I cant answer your first question, but Im sure someone will be able to.

The SMG box is known to be quite weak, and prone to breaking. I have heard on average they last 75k km, or something silly like that, but, I dont know for sure.

it looks like i will be extending my motorplan as soon as it ends lol, still got a year and a half. thats why i wanna do software and keep my warranty as people say it is untraceable.

Yeah, motorplan with those gearboxes is essential.

If the software is truely undetectable, then its worth it, as the gains on the v10 are pretty big.

You can always ask the guy who is doing the Software for to flash the computer & revert to stock settings before you go in for service etc.

i know Zeemax said that they would do this for free!

ziyaad take comfort in knowing that a 335i with software should be decent race with a m5 or m6 on the quarter mile depending on who does it.

a 335i with software alone wont touch a M5, even more so an M6.

Stock E60 M5's at Tarlton run 12.8's @ 182

Dont see a stock 335i running those times. Now if its had more work done to it then yes, it will be closer. But once that M5 gets into 4th and stretches its legs its all over for the x35i
