Amazing gains. Well done to all involved.:praise:

Hi guys, slightly off topic

But wanted some input from Sherwin or other members familiar with JB.

How easy/difficult is it to remove the jb4, as I understand it doesnt plug into the OBD port but into the ecu directly.

Reason being is, I would like to remove the JB4 if I fit it , example : when I need to take the car in for service etc.

Not looking for major mods, just Stage 1 is enough for now. You can PM me if you prefer.

Thank you

PS Im in Durban.

The JB is plug and play. First fittment does take a little longer as you need to learn what goes where. But from that point on, its nothing more than a 15min job to remove or install.

The Jb, is a piggy back system.

Pretty much what DSTV8 just said.

I hope this helps.

Very impressive for just JB4, this car must move, what power did it make before the JB4?

I know it's been discussed but is the JB4 undetectable, anyone from a dealer on here willing to comment?

Hi gents, this is indeed mad power. Is this a 2014 model and if so, they have more power than the others?

is this true?

I also heard rumours like this. apparently the newer m135i has a bigger turbo exhaust housing/outlet or something like that?
(same as the new 4 series 435i)

and to the OP...great power. Basically a pnp unit with some octane booster and it yields awesome power gains! :bravo::bravo::bravo:

If you know is been discussed and hopefully read through those discussions, you should know the answer to your question.

Do you guys get the jb kits straight from the US? And do the guys at Excede then just help with fitment and tuning?

Units are bought from Xcede. Units then installed, cars logged etc by Xcede.

With JB only & 95RON with octane booster (no eth) this car ran 12.7 ont he 1/4 mile & 234 on the 1km. With some faults we need to diagnose which were causing an intermittent performance loss in the upper gears.

I have to ask is this an issue on all m135s ? Or is it an isolated incident ?

No it's just an isolated incident. We doing somethings slightly different to anyone else and we are bound to get a few glitches here and there. Back yard mechanics for the lose!

Not dissing your job, but I know a few back yard mechs who's knowledge on the product as well as the cars are absolutely astounding. They do it out of passion, hence I find the time that goes into their helping you is priceless.[THUMBS UP SIGN]

Kish and Firi, you guys mis-understood. Sherwin said that as a joke.

The reason he posted that was recently he was called a backyard mechanic because of the tests we were running on mine and Andz car.

Yes, we not plugging in and playing out the box. We trying to get the most out of the unit safely. And it is working.

He did not diss any of you guys who take the time and effort to get the most of your cars. It was a dig at those guys that labeled him a backyard mechanic for his efforts.
