Another forgotten car: RGM 1000hp E46 M3 CSL

Does anyone know what ever happened to this car?

I last saw it 2 years ago, was recently completed by RGM. Rob mentioned they were going to try and break records with it, and even ship it to the Nurburgring to try and beat the lap time there.

I only ever heard that it did a shakedown run at ODI, but this was also about 2 years ago.

When I spoke to Rob way back when, he mentioned they spent about R2.2mil on parts and R&D for the car.

He said - as it stands there on the floor, it was close to R3bar. Some highlights:

> Triple-plate carbon clutch: R75000
> Rims & Tyres: nearly R80000
> Charger: nearly R60000

The shopping list was hectic

That's crazy:nonono:

I don't know how anybody can justify spending that much money on a "Modded" car, but I guess if money is no object....

That's supercar money, or a GTR and New M6 together... and probably more reliable:fencelook:

But I do have to admit, that car sounded INSANE!!!

He also build a E30 with a Supercharged M3 engine that was supposed to push 1000hp,I wonder what happened of it?I wonder why he would always choose a Supercharger,a Turbo would be more efficient and it would be easier to hit his targetted power.

Because his customers just have tons of cash and know nothing about 'built' cars so just believe all the bullshit he claims. He wont use turbo's because his a bolt on typa guy, and never does internals to utilise real power, so he'll stick to the reliable low boosting stupid chargers.
