So you guys all suck, you just made me do it and now I'm F10less. But worry no more, I had a look at 5 cars and this the one I picked
Just a few random snaps:
Truth be told, I'm like a kid again, what a machine! This thing is just silly. Silly insane! The thrum of that V8 at idle, the urgency of the tone at 4000 rpm and then the insane, bone tingling, mind numbing scream at 7500rpm. Switch to the next gear and repeat, I get goose flesh just typing it. In fact, see you guys later, I'm going for another spin
Jokes aside, I can honestly tell you I've never driven something like this. I haven't had a manual in maybe 6 years? I feel like quite the amateur driving it, but so what, I have ///M hehe.
Truth be told, this car isn't perfect cosmetically. The front bumper needs a re spray, the back bumper had some botched up repair work done and the car seriously needs a detail as there are swirl marks all over the car. The carbon roof does look pretty hot though, And I'm not usually a fan of the carbon look.
The car has had a full checkup at BMW so mechanically it's ok. But I will be going over things again with a fine tooth comb. The motor is real healthy (read, obscenely strong) and the drivetrain seems ok. Clutch action is great and there's no funny noises from the gearbox, diff etc. It's not using any oil thus far, nor can I see any on the drip tray.
It's basically the perfect platform for me to be a project car and get it to the level of perfection that I want. Big plus is there's hardly any scratches otherwise, the interior looks very very good, I like the color combo outside and inside and I'm super happy about the graphite trim pieces in the car. This one was pretty much the best of the lot for less than 100k of my initial budget. So that cash can go to some toys and a front to back update/clean/repair of all the niggly bits.
I must actually thank you guys, I'm just surprised I haven't done this sooner! Thanks for the encouragement, and now I have something to play with in more ways than one!!
