Streetracer might disagree with me but stick with OEM. Only advantage to K&N is that it can be washed/reused. You might get a bit better throttle response but dont expect big kw increases. Plenty tests have been done by guys like Dinan etc.

i can give you a written guarantee that you will gain a minimum of 4wkw with a BMC panel filter! only reason i say that ive seen gains up to 7kw on E36 M3 3.2's from filter alone!
Best is buy the filter go to a dyno! do a run with your stock filter, then do a run with the BMC filter.. if you dont gain anything ill take the filter of your hand for what you paid for it!

Dinan works on single throttle U.S M3's we have six individual throttles asking allot of air!

Care to offer that guarantee on an E46 M3 ?
And most gains come from replacing a dirty OEM filter with a clean filter. Do a run with a brand new OEM filter, then slap on the BMC and lets see

iver never tested on E46 but on heaps of E36 M3's but im sure you will gain as well so ill do the guarantee! but bring your car , clean filter and BMC panel filter to the DASTEK dyno day and we can do it with a crowd! hows that? if im wrong ill give you the cash on the spot!

Im in for this test. On the gopher 318i 2005 A/T N46b20 as I put a clean OEM filter in Recently but struggle to find a Round K&N Filter. So I will glady do it infront of a crowd.
