Hey guys,
So my E90 320d LCI has just gone out of motorplan. I will now be doing services myself, and in the spirit of saving money I was thinking of going for a K&N or BMC air filter, as these are lifetime filters that can be cleaned and re-used.
It's more a cost saving thing than a performance mod.
So I have a few questions, and would appreciate your guys input if possible:
- Should I go for the K&N/BMC filter instead of an OEM replacement?
- Does anyone know where I can get one from? I see Autostyle stock for the Z4, the E90 335i, and "BMW E90 4 cylinder". Do any of these fit in my airbox?
- Has anyone done this before? If so, was there any noticeable difference in the air flow rates, or performance figures?
I'm based in JHB btw.
Thanks in advance for the help guys.
