The problem started on Sunday... When in nuetral and applying the clutch there is a funny sound on applying and releasing the clutch. Was told its a clutch kit which had to be replaced and did that today @ AutoMotive Workshop in PTA Zambezi. The noise is still there and even got worse cause now when I accelerate the car vibrates as if the tires have no grip... PLS advice....

Sounds to me as if clutch preasure plate is defective i.e. broken spring

In any case you should follow Twinz advice and have it propperly checked

Can you describe the noise and what affected it? For instance, some release bearings tend to be a bit noisy when in neutral with the clutch out - push the clutch pedal in and the noise goes away. More of an annoyance than an actual problem, but can get worse over time. Apparently the release bearing is some sort of plastic material instead of metal, so quite susceptible to wear if for example you sit with your foot on the clutch at the lights.

But yes, I would have it properly checked. Good luck!!

Take the car back to the garage that did the work .
You may have trouble with the dual mass flywheel ( if fitted ) , the propshaft rubber coupling ( guibo ) or the clutch assembly .The bush in the rear of the flywheel that accepts the gearbox input shaft may also be stuffed .

it will def be the flywheel! had the same problem, thought it was the thrust bearing. changed the clutch and pressure plate and thrust bearing, flywheel looked ok but alas it wasnt! unfortunately you cannot get aftermarket dual mass yet, only in Feb/March nest year! i had to fork out R13k for a new one two weeks ago from the dealers! but all is now well again and she pulls like a train!

What puzzles me is the acceleration vibration of the car. All was fine with acceleration prior to the clutch kit change after that any revs above 200 on hard acceleration the car vibrates as if it has no traction on the tires, more like the clutch plate is slipping on the flywheel but there is no clutch burning smell. Could it be the turbo even though the car does not smoke.
