hey guys does anyone have an aftermarket motorplan like the hollard motor xtender? My car is approaching 200 000 km they are going to pay 50% of anything they cover, I am wondering if I should keep the motorplan or just save the premiums in my bank...thanx

Yep, rather invest what you would pay for an aftermarket motorplan in a bank account so that you have money for work to be done - as far as I have heard, most of these aftermarket motorplans only cover a small amount of typical work that needs to be done, so you will still be out of pocket, plus frustration...

Edit: Yes! Would rock to have one's wife or gf get down and dirty fixing your car, or at least helping! :)

mine has helped me with woodworking.... but thats where it stopped.

I often get the "if I wanted to a grease monkey, I would have married one" speach... to which i tell her to "shut her pie hole" and then i sleep on the couch... showered of course...

Or she will help me shower, but take great enjoyment of spraying me with the ice cold degreasing agent... its mean i tell you...

But ya, if it aint BMW motorplan, and it cost R3,000 for unlimited km's, its worthless...

the thing i hate most about MP is that its not in their best intrest to fix you car properly... least if i pay for it they happy to do any work because they get more money for it... they wont try fix it cheap to save money...
