Advice on a super cheap clear wrap online?

Hey everyone, not sure what to choose because I don’t want to accidentally stain my car or something. I have an alpine white BMW. I want to self apply some sort of clear vinyl wrap or something around parts of my front bumper and bonnet.

I’m hoping to do it by Halloween, my plan is to do that then smear some fake blood looking liquid and hand prints, etc all over the front as part of Halloween. Not sure if anyone has any input/ideas? 😁

I found this one takelot but a little pricey. Literally going to rip it off as soon as Halloween is done so any cheap and bad vinyl I’m happy with as long as it doesn’t damage it.

Clear Stone Chip Vinyl Wrap - 500mm x 1000mm available to buy online at @TAKEALOT We offer fast, reliable delivery to your door.

Would probably be a better idea to look at a high quality low-tack masking tape (3M), this would also be easier to apply since vinyl can be quite tricky... And any proper PPF will be expensive.

Another benefit of the masking tape would be the ability to draw on it much easier than vinyl, there are some white masking tapes available as well.

Instead of taking the chance on applying something and possibly having issues later, perhaps get the blood, fingerprints etc all printed out onto a vinyl sticker and stick onto the car for Halloween then remove later on?
Anything to put onto your paintwork that is identified as cheap could have a dangerous outcome.

You could always layer on some Rubber spray.

Get a white can, mask off the sections you wanna add the stains to and spray it 2 coats (makes the peeling process easier).
Add the blood spatter (can also use red rubber spray) and then when it's all over just peel it off. 1 can of each should be enough.

You're in Cape Town, check out Flamingo rubber spray at the China Malls, costs R100 a can so in total you're gonna fork out R200. You could also just get a red can, spray it into a bowl, get your hands in there, create a crime scene on your front end and then simply peel it when done. If you don't base coat with white though the red shit all over might take you a while to peel off.

Have a look a SA's motor vehicle accident death stats and see if you still want fake blood and hand prints on your car. I get that this American celebration is getting popular in S.A but what you are proposing seems like it would be in poor taste.

its going to be a lot of trial and error especially if you have not done this before, furthermore as others have mentioned you need to ensure you use the correct process for applying the film (which includes prep the vehicle and decontaminating it), as well as getting the correct adhesive promoters to get the flim to bond to the vehicle while ensuring that whatever you use won't pose any issues in future.

The area you working in also needs to be completely dust free top to bottom, corner to corner else be prepared to have specs inside the flim.

If you can overcome the above it should be a good project but like others have said cheap always comes back to bite you

@JordanB keep us posted with some photos if you've got it done ;) at least yours is temp and for an occasion.

Side question though, what's the idea behind all this? I remember last year sometime a crew doing something like this for a teddy run.
