IMO F30 320 is the one i would choose anyday and everyday for obvious reasons ranging from maintenance , fuel , comfort
Your heart will say 335i but only advise i can offer is to make a sensible decision. Longtime is what you need to look at
Having owned a few Diesels , my opinion. I will never touch a Diesel ever again based purely on the fact that the new generation of motors are now Petrol Turbo from BMW stable. Diesels are over-rated and out of plan one will pay massive amounts of money to maintain.
Cant see the MP pics but if a car has comments on it , stay away , stay away. Will repeat this a million times especially if hardware was changed. Based on what you saying stay away from the F30. Once again i cannot see what was changed but 58k is madness and I would never touch that car.

IMO
Unfair comparison on fuel consumption as the older generation E90 320s were non turbo and a lazy lump.
A fair comparison would be F30 320d vs F30 320i
Just my two cents worth
I disagree that out of plan diesels are expensive to maintain. If you wait for things to break then yes any car will be expensive, if you do preventative maintenance and ensure the vehicle is up to standard your costs will be considerably less.
