Definately worth it. You get to explore the limits of car handling under safe track conditions, while getting instruction from proper race car drivers.

Do it.

Myself and a mate recently got treated by his wife to the VW skidpan course (groupon special), and even though it was front wheel drive and blah blah blah, it was one of the best days I've had out! So book that course and have an awesome bday celebration, you only have things to gain from courses like that, as well as cheaper car insurance

I feel these are not just for fun but it also adds to your driving skills. Very beneficial to your technique and response times.

Yes, yes, 1000x yes. I did it Kyalami, believe it is now at Zwartkops?

I did it in an E90 330i, would be interested if they use F30's now....

Yes, yes and yes. I completed the course when they were still at Kyalami. I believe they have now moved to Zwartkops. When I went to Kyalami for the "Fantastic Racing" in the Reynhard 3 weeks ago, the old BMW Advanced Driving offices looked a little dilapidated and very empty.

You receive a certificate at the end of the course that you can submit to your insurance company, if you're already paying a ridiculously low fee then they will more than likely say no, but it's certainly worth a try either way

Bmw and Merc moved to Zwartkops, leaving just vw and audi at kyalami... Zwartkops seems to have a lot more going on, and the rates are better... Group skid pan day me thinks :=):

What a pity - should have been the other way around with the nicer track for real RWD cars :fencelook:

Couldn't agree with you more, but it is what it is... and at least zwartkops is cheaper (or so I'm told)... and all their facilities are well kept... when I was at kyalami, it seemed a bit "run down" :thumbdo:

Do it , the fun on the day makes it worth it , the theory and practice will help later . One accident avoided and the course paid for itself .
