Additional oil services during motorplan.

So I recently got a diesel BMW with service intervals of 20 000km or 18 months.

The service interval is reasonable if the car is to be recycled soon after the MP is done but a filthy diesel with just 5L oil capacity needs more frequent changes if the engine is to stay in reasonable condition while doing lots of kms. I can do 4000km/month when busy.

Has anyone had any luck with getting additional oil changes done while on MP? Any dealers that you know of in Gauteng that will do it? I'm happy to pay for it but dealer wants to stick to 20k intervals.

They do it if you ask them to and make it clear you’ll pay for it. I’ve never had issues with this.

They don’t reset the service indicator so the CBS is as per normal and covered by MP.

When my car was still under motorplan and i wanted to do additional oil services or brakes or anything, they have no issue, but like the other poster said, you will pay out of pocket for it.

As mentioned, you can have as many services done as you like, as long as you pay for it yourself. just be clear with them not to reset the CBS.
