Addition to the Family : Haval H1

Hi guys

After a month of checking in an out of dealerships, my heart was leaning towards a low mileage BMW 125i convertible in white but the wife decided on a new car. Went into a Haval dealership and well the rest is history.

Got her a Haval H1 with 12km in the clock.
Parking is now a nightmare...

Congratulations. :bravo:
I've seen quite a few Haval models on the road recently, seems to be getting popular. I suppose what you get for the price is good value. I've been in the H9 and was surprised how well-specced it is.

Congrats. If parking is a nightmare then just park your car in the Haval's wheel gap

Congrats on the new ride!

Please do a write up a few weeks down the line. I've heard good things from Haval, with it being such a "new" brand, I would love to hear a user review!

@NtandoN - i have seen the H9 videos on youtube. that car is gonna hive a lot of SUVs a run for their money..

@As-Eez - funny enough the first time i heard about Haval was a BMW dealership in Pretoria. Then GWM decided to take ownership. The brand is very popular in China. Drives well. other than the plastic cabin fee and the non-height adjustable seats, the car is comfortable to drive. with a 1.5 liter engine, its sure to save a lot in fuel costs. Up to 45000 km service plan. price R179k

Congrats on the car,

I see more and more people are going for the other brands. Parking at work has two of them and in the same color even... :eek:mgwaiting: and then some GWMs and Mahindras. People seem to be finding great value for money in them and I think I agree. The equivalent Polo with same specs would set you back much more than R179k

Wishing you many happy miles

Congrats - had a crazy Ex that had one. the 1.5 is a bit sluggish but a very well rounded city softroader. they come decently spec'd for the price they sell at!

I was actually considering getting this for my parents. I feel its value for money - Having 5 year maintenance/repair free motoring for R180k with a service plan. A little type SUV to complete your daily commute which is also light on fuel.

The interior is actually not bad, the rear annoys me a bit and only having it in 4 colors - I would opt for the white or sliver.

There are quiet for few valid reasons for buying this in our economy today. I would buy this over a R180k second hand SUV that has no motorplan and thereafter possibility sitting with issues and repair costs.

Congrads bud, Really look forward to an update on the car in the coming months.
