I agree with you. Bmw quality is topnotch, except for the sun visors in the 135i. All my previous bmws : e36, e46, e90 all had quality feel sunvisors with a light. The 135i has flimsy plastic things without a light that feels like it came out of a Tata. Otherwise it's the of the best cars ever made.

Love your seats, what colour is that?

True hey thats the only issue i have with my 135 also other than that its awesome

I've noticed it as well, but with the limited amount of use I have for the sunvisors it's not something I'd hold against the car :)

Welcome to the N54 Club Acheron! You are going to love that baby with the JB4 + other mods you plan... The car looks well kept. That rear tail light unit will have to be replaced, mine did the same and was replaced under MP at the time.

Found that out this morning when I went past the dealers ;)

Just waiting on the MP transfer and then I can claim! Tempted to try find a set of the facelift LCI lights instead though.

Very nice.
Just keep in mind that you will need a new harness and LCM if you want the LCi tail lights, not cheap.

From what I can gather there are 2 versions of the LCI tails, one halogen based and the other Xenon. The Xenon ones are supposedly compatible with any Xenon equipped 135i without the need for extra hardware.

Is not that easy.
Depends on the year of the car as well. There are 2 versions, both xenon (led) and halogen. The year of the car plays a role due to a variation I. The control module for the lights.
From what I can gather, all N54's stil have the old module (down to year of manufacture) where from October 2010 (manufactured) there was a change in modules. When I get a set of LCI's I'll confirm seen as mine should have the newer module

Right, so the JB4 is in (a fairly easy procedure), but there are some issues with hesitation through the rev range and some severe boost drops every now and then when changing gear (esp 3rd into 4th).

Logged the car and sent the logs to Twinz who, helpful as always, suggested that either my MAP sensor is not functioning correctly or the car has the remnants of a previous tune still on the ECU. Opening the logs myself I can see how much higher than other logs I've seen the "ECU PSI" values are in comparison.

So basically my first pass would be get hold of the previous owner and query this with him and perhaps replacing the MAP sensor.

Very nice bud, congrats again!

I was always a big fan of your S3 and the 135i is definitely a great move, looking forward to following the mods you have planned!
