Accident this morning - Totaled?

Our cars have "explosive" devices inside the interior panels with weakened plastics for the airbags to deploy - the cost of replacing the airbags is one thing, but the replacement of the interior panels is where it gets really costly. But aside from this, the car's physical damage is such that I cannot see it being all that practical/safe to try and fix - I would think the crumple zones on the front have done their job, and this cannot be repaired safely! At least I highly doubt it, LZ could elaborate.

Sorry about your loss.

The external damage (panels and chassis) + airbags etc will very well exceed 250,000. The car can be repaired but insurance will definitely write it off. Besides, it will never be the same after the accident.

Airbags increase the cost exponentially - around 14,000 steering wheel, 9,000 passenger, 25,000 dashboard. Headlight around 15,000 etc.

Write-off case, mate.
