BMW has their own Performance kit for the F30 320i. Not sure about the gains though. Costs half that.

Includes:

New ECU
New Intercooler
M Performance Engine Plaque
"M Performance" side sill stickers

You then also have the option, at additional cost, fit the BMW Performance silencer which sounds AWESOME!!

Give Juan Bezuidenhoud (Menlyn Auto) a call for a quote. Tell him Billy told you to. He will give you a good price. Most importantly, your warranty and motorplan goes unaffected.

Mmmmm....i can only find one for the 320d F30 on RealOEM. Give him a call anyway...he might have fresher data.

Ok, just got some interresting news back from ACS, according to them it is only software that changes... I think they trying to hide other changes, any tuners have an opinion?

How come tuning guys can only get to 160kw on 320i max and these guys get to 180kw? :fencelook:

I cant find the F30 20i on the AC Schnitzer site. They add 50Kw to the 16i though....damn!

It seems AC S has their own warranty, which covers certain aspects if BMW does not want to cover the damage.

I just got quoted 35k  for the ac schnitzer power kit for the f30 320i! the guys sent me a graph show gains from 135kw to 180kw and 270nm to 350NM, and that is in 328i zone! :bravo: and your motor plan stay place

howzit.

i got the same BMW upgrade on my E90 335i

its well worth every cent paid. i am at 268 kw with 493Nm.

the best feeling is when the car gives you any issues just take it in and motor plan takes care of the rest.

I've got the BMW power pack on my 320d E90 LCI, best thing I ever did, the car is absolutely wild, for a 320d it pulls like an ox

Hi all..

So I have decided to do the AC Schnitzer power kit on my 320i!

I am very sceptical about motorplan so decided to take the plunge, the power improvement is very good if I compare it to any other tuners.. However price is rough :yuck:

I will do a dyno run before and after to confirm the increase.

Anyone know of a dyno that does not need the tow hook at the back to be connected? Seems the new F30 manual doesnt have this.
Can anyone confirm?

i called JSN and was told the price was R38k ex vat.
from what i understand, its just a piggypack chip. nothing else?

Correct, its just a piggyback. The reason it's so pricey is cause they cover parts if BMW dont want to for any reason.

I ordered it, getting in 2 weeks...I'm done playing with my motorplan. Its worth alot more than R40000.

Power gains wont be bad, but the price:yuck:

Maybe one should skip some installments on something and get it done:fencelook:

I believe that it's just the reprogramming. It makes economic sense for a car company to only have to do R&D on one engine and then detune it for lower down in the range. Much more cost effective than R&D on two or three different engines.

Here's a cool vid on how Audi has done this in the S4.
:nonono:

And here's a reason why not to get the S4.

Skiet, let us know how everything works out. I've also got an F30 320i M Sport and looking to do the same upgrade. Thanks!

Dude, the ONLY reason why I would say go for it, is cause your motorplan stays in tact!!
There are cheaper tuning out there, but then you run the risk of BMW finding out, and you get stuffed with a cancelled motorplan... and I would not go there...

So Good luck with your decision!!

I`m with Cois on this, with AC you know that if there is any problems somewhere along the line motorplan will cover it.
