AC problem on e36 328i

Hello everybody,

so...a few weeks back my ac fans started making quite a noise, even when just normal airflow through the ac was on. eventually whatever fans were making the noise just stopped. I can still get hot and cold faint airflow from the vents but adjusting the speed of the fans makes no difference. I assume that the ac fan is dead. Am I right? Can anyone tell me what needs to be replaced/fixed?

I sorta need this fixed as soon as possible as I'm worried about heavy rains foggin up my windscreen. Ive had to pull out of traffic once already...and it wasnt fun at all. could hardly see anything.

My ac was working intermittently ... I had to have both the ac control unit and the resistor replaced. Perhaps its just the fan that needs replacing but the location is a bit of a mission to get to.

i'm alsmot certain its a fan related issue. im just not sure if its 1 fan or more, or a whole unit that I need to replace.
