ABS + ASC module

Z3 ASC module was identified as problem, and I need advice if the module can be repaired in SA. ABS and traction control ligths are on.

Would be interested to hear how you diagnosed the fault ?
I have the same warning lights, but haven't read the codes as yet.

I had it tested by a guy who has some software that indicated that it is the ABS module, and sourced a 2nd module

Z3 ABS & ASC unit is mounted in engine bay and is susceptable to heat of engine causing the module to fail over a period of time. The diagnostics showed error code 71 return pump and also he also reset errors of the speed sensors as the 2 front sensors also indicated errors, drove it for a while and the sensor errors did not return. The dealer quoted R9000 for replacement unit and I managed to source a 2nd module from E46 at a scrapyard Fitted the module on ABS pump and ABS ligth is off only traction control ligth is still on. I need to get it reprogrammed and that should fix traction control.

Had the ASC module programmed to work with the Z3 today by a mechanic in PTA East and the traction control ligth is off, I tested it by using the switch to deactivate and also on a wet road. Cost me less than R2000

Glad you got it sorted. My Traction control lights also comes on every now and then ? Not sure why ? Should I be worried ?
