A few pics of her...

Hey guys,

Slow day at the office - thought i'd post some pics of her. Don't know why its a 'her' though, just seems right:=):

Specs
-1980 635csi
-blue leather
-sunroof
-manual

A brief history:

I took delivery of her late in December last year. Changed all the fluids (besides diff and gearbox oil). Did a minor service on her and decided that - yes, she will get a proper restoration, BUT i want to drive her a little first, get to know what shes like and learn a bit about her.

So far had to replace a perished fuel line from the tank to the filter, and a water pipe, and break pads in front.

The Good
-manual (factory, not conversion)
-all electrics work
-still solid to drive
-minimal rattles/squeaks (for such an old car)

The bad
-rust. not major, but starting here and there.
-those wheels:yuck:
-she's starting to smoke a little.
-and the starter is faulty

As i said, the plan is to do a restoration, which is due to start towards the end of this year, and i'm slowly collecting the missing bits.. There are forum members who are currently/ have been a great help in sourcing some scarce parts for her (they know who they are). I just want to say THANK YOU to them for the advice and help:thumbs:

Now for the pics (blackberry pics):

She's not perfect but she'll get there:rollsmile:

Any comments/ feedback would be greatly appreciated, good or bad..

You forgot to mention the gear knob :mmm:

The car looks good though. I've always wanted to get one. :thumb:

Ya no look, that gear knob is suspect:yuck:

Car looks really good. Once you get the above mentioned sorted. You'll have a winner there.

Oh how I wish I could've kept mine. But atleast she went to a good home.

Mr Foglar, I hate black cars in general, but I must admit that the one you posted above really looks desireable!

If ever I could get one, I would have liked to include the old M6 in my collection of must have BMW's!:praise:

You have no idea - that thing is seriously desirable simply by it's colour combination, wheels and of course condition. Also, at the time, only had 47k km!! :dizzy:
