99' e46 328i de-cat

who else done this and where . I done mine at powerflow they have put 2 silencers in place of the cats oh and also i was lucky my car didint have any post cat sensors and also no cats in the headers . i was also wondering if i take those silencers out and do straight pipes will it be to loud .

p.s.
dont realy notice a diff in performance but my car is bit quieter and also that ticing noise use to make after a long drive

I did straight pipes at powerflow. I don't have time today but if you can wait till tomorrow ill post some vids so that you can hear the sound.

Best thing you could ever do! I had a e46 99 328i, powerflow removed the cats and added two stainless steel pipes. Very nice M3ish sound! Not too loud. Fuel consumption came down as well and the car was also more responsive.

I have an e39 M5 now, also with no cats and only two mufflers right at the back on each pipe. Awesome sound! :thumb:

I want to do my car, I smaak the sound of the 6. Does a 320i have post sensors? I only want to do the bottom for now.

The bottom cats dont have sensors that you need to worry about, its only the sensors pre and post cat in the headers.

Thanks Don, I got a good quote from Supakwik of all places, removing the bottom cats and replacing it with straight pipe they going to charge me R250.

thanx for the replys and yours sounds pretty nice crhis i also see you have the same mags on as mine and those nice angel eyes i done mine as well . i was thinking im gonna let them do some flanges on mine so i can change between straight pipes and silencers u know if i want to make some noise i can just swap them
