96 E36 M3 - Whats it worth?

Got a buddy selling a 96 E36 M3. It has a new motor from BMW and the car is sitting on around 120,000km's. Daytona violet with dual airbags so its one of the last produced. Any idea what these are worth? I am thinking of buying it to use for a few months but don't want to marry the car. Its in excellent condition - the wheels haven't even been redone and spare is unused.

The manager of the garage where I take my car to bought a white "94 with a little over 100k on the clock.... paid well over R120K for it.

Fair price ? +/- R100K

Bud fair price for that car if its clean and original is R120K! Some may even be willing to pay a little more depending once again on condition.:thumbs:

If it's absolutely mint and in original condition, I'd say they can go up to R150k-R160k, as there are very few clean E36 M3 coupes left and Daytona violet is even more rare. The mileage is also very low for that year model.

Realistically though, R130k-R140k is probably a decent range, assuming the car is 100% (i.e. no accident damage, FSH, etc).

From the sound of it, i would say R120k, assuming it is a very clean example.

i know someone that paid a R140k for one with +/- 86000km, but was a 94 model. FSH, etc. Not a scratch or dent on it.

Well its legend and if its in good nick, i wud say about R120K +, in the next 5 years to come i wouldnt be surprised to see that car hit the R200K mark for a fine example. raise:

I sold my '95 model cosmos black M3 for R120k a few months ago, with no service history and just under 200k on the clock.

Given that I think this car should be worth a bit more than 120k.

No it wasn't that one, can't remember the number plate, was also personalised but definately not that one..
