Hi guys
A few guys have asked me to post some pics of the car with the Bc Racing coilovers installed. Far as I know they retail for 9k.

The ride is stiff but really absorbing and very good for everyday use, I have them set on full soft, which is pretty stiff, there is of cause certain harsh "sharp" bumps that one does feel more than on the OEM suspension. The car handles like an absolute beast.

I would recommend chosing a lower spring rate because then if u want to stiffen the setup more u can just select it on the shocks
To set the height u need to take the wheels off to set nicely but it is very easy to do. I think this ride height is perfect for the road, its a sporty look but its high enough to deal with everyday driving, I havent had a problem thus far.

These are fully damping and ride height adjustable, I higher recommend them. Thanks to Anton at APS he really did an awesome job with getting them setup.

Mcquires polish really makes the Avus Blue pop out on pics took this with a 4.9mp camera, the coilver pics are taking with my phone. It lost some definition when I resized the picks for the web

Tx, its the Mcquires polish that is suppose to give that deep wet dynamic shine look, takes some patience and elboy grease but kinda worth it in the end, the light and enviroment reflects different of the panels its rad I dig it

I have BC ER's on my e46 M3 and they are a very nice piece of kit. Be warned they are definately firmer than stock, but transform the handling of my baby monster:)
They are however soft enough that I drove her today, 7 days after a significant hernia repair, and they did not eat me alive:thumbs:.
I love them and would recommend them to all that are looking for a meaningful drop without sacrificing handling:)

Thank you Dave Jones

Guys I have had the car slammed and the drive is exactly the same :) the joy of Coil Overs :)

Guys no one with anyone I can trust to take care of some paintwork?

Scunick are urs set to full soft?
I dont think mine are much stiffer on full soft, will check at home which range they from, Like I said I would say when ordering them get a lower spring rate, because that will give u a softer setting to begin with

From the look of this picture, you now have much less castor than the OEM setup.
Doesn’t the car feel a little unstable at high speed accompanied by a “lighter” feel on the steering wheel??

Oh yes....Brilliant upgrade!!

Your car is insanely beautiful!

I'm glad that car found a good home. Too often you see two door E36 M3s that fall into the wrong hands.

Enjoy it!

Quick one, do you find that your coilovers sometimes make a little springy popping noise when turning.
Ive been told that its just one of the noises they make and its normal, but I just wanna check.

Easy. Order a set for the E46 and then you can compare.

Hi at the speed limiter the car feels insanely stable, it tracks straight like an arrow, the steering weight feels slightly heavier but that cud be because of the steering pump recon maybe the pressure is a bit lower than it shud be. Even when I get the car a bit sideways in tight corners its super stable the level of traction is insane it steps out and corrects itself. When I set the shox firmer the steering weight seems to increase slightly not sure if this is normal.

After I initially fitted the shox i cud sometimes here noises but its cause the suspension droop was not set correctly. I got that right and since then their isnt a sound from the suspension

I think the shock shaft is 100mil, so when the car is standing on all fours you need the shock 45%-55% compressed, mine is 45% I think. Then when u lift the front wheel off the ground the wheel will drop 55mil when u get it there the suspension is really astoundingly good.

Now no offence to suspension techies but I dont think they going to get a coil over system like it should be, best to get someone that knows what they doing to take the car and make sure everything is as it should be.Super Quick and other places cant even replace shocks and do decent alignment on my wifes Corsa C what still an M3 with Coil Overs.

calypso are u sure the cups that hold the springs in place are tight enough? If it isnt then the spring will move slightly I had this on my corsa, also u suppose to use loctite 270 (if mem servers). On some of the suspension bolts and nuts and then u torque it according to a haynes manual, it will never come loose! I had to losen some of the bolts and OMW u dont torque it many nm`s but that loctite makes a loud snapping noise when u force it to let go.

Guys I also forgot to add the turn in is slightly sharper and more precise when cornering its like the car is driving straight but around a corner its amazing, now this M3 use to handle really well before its one of the things I loved most about it but now its on another level, and u really need to work it hard to get it sidewayz and even then it will auto correct very very quickly

Been trying to get a set of these coilovers for my M but when I called the distributer they said that they closed shop. Where did you get yours from Griffen?
