Those pics were taken at my buddy Paulo's workshop. I believe it's coming to me next week to code out the rear door airbags.

You got some more info on it by any chance? Was it in a wreck? Build pics, etc.

The dude bought a new G11 7'er and got offered peanuts for the F01. He decided screw it, he always wanted a luxury bakkie so converted the F01. As far as I'm aware it wasn't in an accident prior.

His car, his money. He can do with it as he pleases. Looks like it was at least done decently.

Screw the upcoming merc bakkie. :cartel:

I must say I'd rather have this 7er bakkie over the Benz bakkie

Gert please take plenty pics of all sides and interior and post here?

Love it... Wonder if it would still be covered by MP :) ?

Imagine you book it in for a service if the MP was still active? :smashScreen: What would BMW say? :skit:

I always had this argument with both BMW and Mercedes... surely the MP would remain for this unaffected parts?

My previous Merc was on a contribution plan and my contribution for new shocks without labour was more than the entire bill from the agents they were ordering the parts from including labour... I fought and fought with them about this and their answer was that is the price and if I don't do it with them the plan would be voided. After taking it up with the dealer principal and head office they finally agreed that it plan would remain active for but if the shocks have way and effected anything else it, that would not be covered - which is fair enough.

So by the above logic... the front third of this car should still be covered

You are assuming that Logic enters the situation when it comes to how BMW run their motorplan scheme and how DPs and their techs interpret said scheme.

This bakkie will make a great prop in a Leon Schuster's movie: Owner brings his/her white 7er for "Top to Bottom" service. And when he/she comes back to fetch car, finds the top moved to the bottom.

Maybe the car was damaged in an accident and it made sense to resurrect it as a bakkie, rather than scrapping it. Even if not, it is the man's property and he can modify it as he pleases.

It looks like a very decent job from where I am sitting. :coolShake:

The more I want to hate it, the more I keep thinking it might just be the best looking non-high-rise single cab bakkie out there...

I think it's beautifully executed whether one loves or hates the concept. Personally I think it's perfectly proportioned and looks "factory "

I'd like to no what was done under the skin because the structure would definitely be compromised cutting half the roof away.

And I'd love to see the "boot" open. What does the bak look like?

Overall I think it's cool :tiptoe:
