i left the vaal at 2 and was in umlanga in my drive way at 5: 55 not bad driving i think IE: 160km / 180km / 200km lucky no cops on the road.

now as i enter durban flying through the traffic i have a mark I GOLF 1.3 who pulls infront of me :cursin: now this guy wants to race cummon what the fuk

any how drove down with a merc ML, audi R4, bmw 325, looked like a convoy of speed ha ha :thumbsup:

Its a great drive from that side down to Durban if there are no cops around, get to use the BM for its real purpose.

i was rater surprise with the lack of cops
must say it was my first drive with the new e34 and she corners much much better than my e36 :thumbsup: and for the speeds we were drive and remember i was a full load i got 10km/1L of petrol not bad not bad at all

Back in the day when I was young and irresponsible, I would leave home at 3am on the way to Durban, that way you time van reenen's pass exactly at sunrise, and you can see 2 to 3 turns in front of you, then you do 200 down the pass... damm that was awesome.

Yeah, the wee hours of the morning are the best time to do the Jhb-Dbn stretch.

Once about 6years back in my 316i I left my house in Mulbarton at 4am, my buddy passed out in the passenger seat and I woke him up at 5:30 at the Harrismith engen wimpy. A quick stop there and we belted through the rest of the stretch until we got to around dbn, then I tapped off, rolled the windows down and cruised the rest of the way to Margate.

The trip back from Margate to jhb took 4 1/2 hours, no plate on the front, rear has the James Bond plate, only encountered one cop trying to flag me down but I was in a long que of cars going high speed with no plates, the cop didn't even bother going to his cop car...

I wouldn't do that kinda stuff today though, in 2006 after being arrested for 194 in a 120 zone and R4500 later it kinda leaves a bitter taste in your mouth for a while about speeding...

my dad ended up paying the fine off over 16 months LOL he was sooooooooooooooooo lucky but i was mad the merc never stoped and got no fine :cursin:

at least the law has a hart and understands sometimes i hardly drive with my front plat on i hate it when im doing 80km in a 60 zone and i get a love letter in the post,,,,,,,

Lol.. I got a R1500 fine on my way to RGM dyno day caught me at 162kmh i was still accelerating! Me and my buddy with turbo E46 323i just got on the N12 slipway from witbank and as i hit around 190kmh on the clock the prick jumped in front of me.. Balls of steel cop!

LOL LOL LOL sometimes a cop can be such a dumb ass!!!!
In 2004 my dad drove down to durban with 328i behind a bmw 760i we left at 3am and drove at 250km/h 95% of the way lucky the 760i was governed at 250km/h LOL but we made it into durban 550km with a clocking time of 2h and 37min thats an avg speed of 210km fuk i miss the good old days
