The northern hemisphere is starting winter with the subsequent rise in demand for fuel/oil etc.

what gets to me is most of the petrol price is tax and if the government cut some tax the economy should do better and they can make more money from the extra tax made from a better economy... least that would make sense to me...

We've got a system to refund employees for petrol used so I keep checking for increases. So far we have had an increase every month of the year except July where we had a dip : (AA Prices at Reef, ULP 95)

5/01 - R8.73
2/02 - R8.99
2/03 - R9.42
6/04 - R9.96
4/05 - R10.25
1/06 - R10.23
6/07 - R9.92 (decrease :rollsmile: )
3/08 - R10.09
7/09 - R10.18

So overall we have had a R1.45 increase for the year thus far. With another increase on the cards we are Faarked!

With this hike my monthly fuel on the 540 will go up by about R40, but that's only with driving to work and back.

There are people who say that "it's not that much" and their right, it isn't It's just everything else goes up as well. So it's not just and extra R40 every month, is it?
