525 engine replacement

Hi im new to this forum and i must say it is very informative and has answered a lot of my questions.

so here is the thing 3years ago i bought a e34 525i and what a pleasure to drive i an looking at up grading my motor the thing is savspeed is the only place i know of that does turbo convertions and of course it is expensive.

this got me thinking can i not replace the M50 with a 1jz or a 2jz supra motor they both are straught sixes so fitting it should not be much of a problem and they are very affordable and very strong in stock form ive heard of 500hp easily attainable in stock form. this should sort out the moving from a to b a bit quicker. what i want to know is there anyone here that has done it before? or have heard of it being done.

the 1jz is a 2.5l and go for around R7500+- and the 2jz is a 3.0l and goes for +-R13500 as for the electronics im not to sure will have to do some more research!! but it will go like a demon.

He is trying to get me to convert my 535i with the V8 Lexus motor and autobox.

thanks gerhardm32 will give him a call just want to get everything ready, get the car sorted then its on.

another question maybe you can help when i get to +-120kmh i noticed that my pasenger seat vibrates a bit and i can feel it on the driver side also done the wheel ballancing my steering is still but the vibration is still there im thinking prop shaft but what i dont know. and also if i pull away quick it feels like the wheels "twitch" under me but under normal driving its fine.

help will be appreciated thanks

I am not going to speculate on that, but this mechanic will be able to assist with that, it might be like you say, the prop shaft might need to be balanced, but this 535i is my first back wheel drive car and I have never had vibrations like that on mine now. It could also be your rubber couplings between the gearbox and prop shaft. This mechanic will really be the best to phone. Sorry bud.
