There is a select group of exceptionally quick M3 cars and by all accounts this Laguna Seca Blue car is the current undisputed "champion" of "quick".

Car was dropped off on Friday for remedial work to the vanos unit including the oil pump disc as well as clearances on the valves.

Neesh has give permission for the work to be photographed and posted.

I can tell you that the cams are standard M3 from the factory I will though take pics of the cams close up.

I am also confident in inviting anyone who may wish to verify the status of the cams to just pop along and have a look whilst the top is open.

I have a better idea Crash will be visiting to film the strip down of his rear suspension so I shall ask him to take a short video of the cam work.

Apologies if I have dissapointed the "speculators" in our midst

btw LSB is an amazing colour and one which I feel is well suited to the M3.

The exhaust side hub showing clear "polished" marks on both leading and trailing edge.
By drilling the specific sized hole on the pump disc we will restrict the oscillation which may occur when the cams retard.

Standard seals showing evidence of shrinkage and therefore less sealing and retention of pressure.
This is pretty much the norm on all the cars we have done.

This is what the seals look like after 70K.
Plasticised with small pieces missing from them.
Look at the bottom seal on the left and you will see a piece missing.
We shall try and get more detailed pics later.
