hi

sent my car for alignmnet today at hi q and was told i need new shocks all round. was given a price of R3404 for gabriel shocks.

is this prices reasonable , anyone replaced shocks recently

have you priced the same thing at a few other places? I'm not sure what shocks sell for these days.

Seems a bit pricey to me, but i cant tell you for sure, as i dont know about the e46. I was quoted ~ R1800 for all 4 shocks on my e36, gabriel shocks too.

I got a quote the other day from Supa Quick for R1500,00 odd for the front shocks fitted on the e36.

My quote was 1200 for fronts and 600 for the rear.

Ha, well that is a much better quote. HiQ are a rip sometimes. But their quality of work is good.

yes that is for gabriel shocks as well , but will phone someone else just to make sure

I had to replace a brake disc thanks to HiQ, when the changed my springs for me, they did not torque the caliper bolts, and as a result, one of the bolts came out which caused the caliper to flip up when braking, and eat the lip of the disc off :cursin:

called another superquick and was quoted 2400 for all . thought that all superquicks would be the same price, but it is still better than 3400.00

I saw in the urban racer mag an ad where you can get koni for that price

My konis were about 2 grand a shock.
