Welcome to the 400s club :) .

Hows the suspension? My fathers old mechanic always said "Suspension is good" but it definitely was not, so no suspension parts had been replaced in ages. Besides control arm bushes. I've just had to replace shocks, springs, front control arm bushes, bumpstops, strut mountings and dust protection kit. Now I only have one weird sound coming from the car and thats the squeeking of the sway bar bushes. So next on the list is sway bar bushes (powerflex) and my diff bushes also need replacing (meyle).

And the difference is night and day. I couldn't get over a speed bump with out scratching the bump plates on the bottom of the car now i just have to watch scratching the front bumper because of the drop. There is less "roll" in the car also the steering is more responsive. I just need to find some old sports seats as I'm finding my seats very "flat" and i slide from side to side if i corner too fast.

Suspension - New shocks will be fitted very soon! Have replaced tie rod ens, but overall the suspension is not in bad condition - Suspension will be completely checked by Ralf & his team and items that need replacement will be replaced with Meyle Parts

How much did you drop yours btw?

Glad to hear. Contact Moranor for parts great prices. Maybe consider powerflex if you need bushes?

I went with Koni STR.T shocks and H&R sport springs the drop is not so big at the back but the front is pretty low.

I will post some pics of it soon. I think I've only ever posted 1 pic of my e46 lol

That is a serious bit of mileage...nicely done:thumbs:

Have you put all of the miles on the car?

Has there been any major items that has needed replacing along the way?

She was previously owned by my father, I have had the pleasure of owning her for 3 years now :) and the last 150k

She still has ORIGINAL block, pistons, bearings, valves etc.

The valve cover has never been opened yet :fencelook: but will be replaced soon as she has a leak :( VANOS seals will be done too :joy:

NOT A PUFF of smoke, no funny noises, not a hint of hesitation

OCD is something else, so I have replaced a few things ..... :mmm:

Just an interesting fact

The circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,902 mi / 40,076 km.

So, the 5'er has driven around the world 10 times
