I can't see the difference. It it suppose to be a combination of the 3 series and 5 series?

Atleast with the Audi A4 and A5 the differences are more noticeable

It does seem rather pointless, however, I have to say it is waaaayyyyy sexier than the 3GT! It combines the elegance of the 4 coupe with the 3 sedan in a more cohesive design. I would drop the 3GT altogether, blerry fugly! I do have a question though regarding the badging of this car, BMW said that all the "2 door" variant's would be known with even numbers...... so why now go a screw that up with a 4 door "4 series"?????
Why not just drop the 3GT and name this the 3GC?????
I believe there is more rear legroom and boot space with this car, however I would guess head room in the rear is compromised over the sedan, unless they have been clever in dropping the rear bench slightly?

Yes that's correct, just like the A5 Sportsback, which is the four door of the two door of the four door... :fencelook:

they should call this the 4.5 series really BMW are loosing their way with all these variants JMO:fencelook:

Time will tell if its a good or bad move I guess.

with all this variety and innovation, why don't they just blow the world away and build a 4 door convertible while they at it!

Looks bad , wish they'd have fixed that rear end from the rear windscreen onwards. If it looked more like a baby 6GC i'd have been all over it. But this :thumbdo:

That isn't a GranCoupe, its a 3series 5door hatch. I really think this is a naming error, and BMW are paying too much attention to Audi. How come the 6series GC has a conventional boot and this 4 series GC also a "GC" gets a hatch lift boot lid?
