Thats usually the CATS, some say they smell like that when they are on their way out or too hot

Ok so nothing to stress about. I literally only smell it when I start approaching the 200kph mark. So must be getting hot like you said. Still find it strange that my previous 135i didn't smell during WOT.

I got the exact same problem with my 335i. Dealer seems to think its excess petrol thats burning off, never felt like fighting with them so just turned around and walked out the door, would be nice to know tho what causes my car to stink like that
