335i issues. Vacuum leak?

Good evening Gents,

I have some strange Issues with my 335.
It's a N54.
I have been running intakes, downpipes and ecu tune for more than a month.

On the way down to durban on Friday afternoon we hit roadworks, after idling for 2 minutes it started smoking heavily. After pulling off and boosting once all smoke gone. Nothing on acceleration or deceleration thereafter.
Got to durban and the car felt down on power and hesitating in the upper rpm.
The car is also dumping louder than usual.
The vehicle doesn't smoke when cold.
It only occurs when hot and when the car has been idling for 2 minutes.

Any advice guys?

After One of my filters came lose my car made the dump sound.after refitting it on that same day car had similar symptoms .One of the turbos went and on inspection saw the one turbo's impeller had a chip wich throws out the balancing of the wheel.Then the seals pop ,please keep us updated on this:thumbs:

Hi guys,

Thanks. @Hoosain- when turbo seals have went before on my previous vehicles there was always smoke on deceleration and idle.
The car is extremely down on power driving back to JHB last night and went into limp whenever I pushed hard to overtake.
I scanned the car when I got home and got the following codes.

P114D
P0041

Gonna have to strip off filters today and check the intake for leaks. If no luck it has Fwp so will have to book in.

Hi guys,

I forgot to reply to this thread! Never found an issue, however George's guys did a clean over a month ago and issue has disappeared completely!
I've tried everything to make it happen again but nothing.Stood in traffic for an hour the other day and nothing. Oh and the car feels strong as an ox. Jumped 25kw and 70nm on the same dyno! Big ups George!

Were is the before and after pics of the port clean? It's amazing much power it robs from the car...

You also need a better diagnostic set up... I tried searching for those codes you posted and nothing viable came up...

Uncle George sent me photos but the iPhone met a dramatic death the week after so I lost them :bangdesk: . Anyways I'm sure he will attach them here.
I was using an app called engine link to my elm 327, was a piece of shite which explains the Egyptian codes that came up. Found a great one for my iPad for R120 that works magic.

Hi guys, please advise. i have a 2007 n54 335i, and i removed the cats because they were sending engine codes and the car was sluggish. the car is definately much faster and louder:rollsmile: now but i have a problem with smoke coming from the exhaust. this smoke goes away when i have the car is sport or manual mode and only smoke when i have been driving slow. any help
