335i - Any thoughts?

Hey there... any thoughts on what i can do to get the dump valves to give off a louder sound (without messing with the Motorplan).

Also, did a stage one conversion (plug & play chip) - getting great figures (i think) - from 225kw/ 400nm to 268kw/558nm. Car feels fantastic, and suggestions on doing any better (again without messing with the Motorplan).

Thanks...

my idea around getting it to dump louder is a waste and you lose boost anyway by doing that...

My limited knowledge

Hi Guys....

First of all, big up to Twinz...damn boet you are pushing some serious kw's there!!!!

I will be trading my 130i in tomorrow for 335i...cant wait! Mplan on the car expires in October, is there anything in specific I should ask the stealers to sort out before the plan expires?

Also, does anyone know if the Motorite warranty is any good?

Im sure I will want more kilowatts soon, im a bit of a dummy when it comes to tuning...any suggestions?

Thx man.

I would say they should replace the parts that are part of the recall. HPFP, injectors and coils. These are the most problematic on the car if not done before.

Ask them to check on the service history of the car if the turbos have been serviced or replaced before.

With the above taken care of, your 335 will be good to go for many miles.

The motorite waranty is good for selected parts; such as the transmission, turbos, and engine. Its worth getting a quote.

Enjoy the new baby

Thanks Twinz,

Will checkup on HPFP, injectors, coils and turbo's this week...I'm sure dealers will be looking forward to sorting any issues out....then the fun starts...but whats the best option in my quest for power...something nice to start with?

You could always get a dump valve sound track linked to the gearbox so it plays the sound when you change gears ... ;)

You could hollow out your cats that way the o2 sensors wont pick up anything and neither will bmw ... this will also be good for ur software and turbos...

Thanks Prophet...definitely wanna de-cat!....

Car is at JSN for transfer of MPlan today...just found out today that MPLan replaced a gasket only 2000kms ago...should I be worried? Plan extension for a year and 10 000kms will cost me about R30k!
