I'm sure there was a Red B5 or B6 3.5 Alpina 333i in Cape Town. anyways. i hear you but we have different sorts of collectors of these cars in SA haha

An alpina B6S and a 333i are two way different things from countries far apart.

I may be able to acquire a 333i Albina wide body.

It looks similar to the car on the pic, but only silver grey.

What would the price be to pay for it?

Alpina never had a wide-body kit for the e30. BMW had that with the M3, so it is most likely a copy of that. The original body would have to be cut to fir m3 flares, so that devalues the 333i chassis somewhat.
The engine is not original, so that also drags the price down.

The car in the pic is an e30 M3 with a different rear window angle and a raised boot lid.

There is no price to pay for it. It is unique and thus does not have a set market value. If it is properly prepped for the track then it would be in the R120k region, if it needs to be build for the track then I don't see its worth more than R50k, maybe even less.

I hope you buy it, because if it turns out anything like your M3, then it will be spectacular and unique.

Good luck.

I confirmed with the guy who reconned the engine, it is still original, just a replacement head and internals in the sub assy, and the hot cam, Brospeed exh.

So still 333i motor.

My cousin will have the first option. He is a former race engineer from VW Motorsport. He knows his stuff. I will hang in there, no rush as I already have an excellent track car waiting for me

If that is a 333i, somebody really devalued it.... looks more like butchered 318i right now. Perhaps with a correct set of rims it might look better but would be surprised if it is worth more than R50k.

Mr P, speak to Ramon, he knows his E30 stuff, especially the 333i.

I don't think there is anyone else besides Ramon when it comes to the 333i, who you can speak to!

It appears to be in relatively good overall condition.

Depending on what you can get it for, I would say you should try and put it back on the road.

But that bodykit is definitely aftermarket. Its not an M tech replica, nor is it an M3 replica. It is simply what someone thought an M3 kit should look like

I have heard of this car some time back. The owner fitted the kit and did the conversion to plastic bumpers. I dont know anything else about the car. I would say the conversion has devalued the car. An original matching numbers 333i is upwards of R200k. The ones below that price are bad condition.

Is this chassis 33370171? If so, this chassis was for sale ex Pietersburg in 2005. Advertiser at the time said ZENDER E30 M3 bodykit. Chassis number stamped into body between wiper stalks on the firewall area will be definitive one to check. Looks remarkably similar to the old pic. had 180000km on it at that time.

Alpina branded parts include the instrument cluster, digital vent gauge (both made for them by VDO and engine sump plug and diffplug will have a sensor in it), engine mounts, alloy sump, gearbox mount, top radiator hose, wheels but see those look long gone already (made for Alpina by Ronal). drivers door jamb will have a green alpina tyre pressure label specific for "333i". Chassis tag above driver side headlight in engine bay will say "333i" AFM is mounted on a special body bracket welded to inside of wheelwell.

Steering wheel is standard Mtech1 and the gearknob is normal leather E30 BMW part with the dogleg shiftgate label in it.

All said and done if it's an original chassis may be worth the trouble. Try asking the guys who turned their nose up on original CanAm's or Capri Peranas 10 years ago because someone did something non-original??

Cheers
