330i needed some attention

Hi guys

I'm still new to this forum and haven't posted a lot but my baby had to be given some TLC. Since I'm from CT the best place I could take her to was Brilliant Mechanical Workshop (BMW).

Honestly hats off to these guys for the work they've done. I was taken (after all repairs/work done) through everything that was completed.

So here goes: :smilebounce:

Oil Filter housing Gasket M54 1
Selector Shaft Seal 1
Brake Fluid DOT 4.1 500ml 2
Jack Point block E46 3
Shock Front Left E46 Bilstein 1
Shock Front Right E46 Bilstein 1
Shock Rear E46 Bilstein 2
Window Mechanism L/F E46 1
Window Mechanism R/R E46 1
Window Mechanism L/R E46 1
Control Arm Left E46 HD 1
Tie Rod Left E46 1
Tie Rod Right E46 1
Stabilizer Link Front E46 HD 2
Fender Liner Extension Right E46 1
Wiper Blade Set E46 (new style) 1
Engine Cleaner 2
Bump Stop Front E46 2
Bump Stop Rear E46 2
Diff Bush E46/E83 HD 1
Liqui Moly Gearbox Oil 75W80 1L 2
Diff Oil 75W140 Castrol 500ML 2
Liqui Moly MOS2 Gear Additive 2
Wheel alignment

I asked them not to rush the job so a total of 2.5days were taken to complete.
Next on the list will be a complete clutch replacement, exhaust repairs as no flexible links were added in the front so quite a bit of vibration still. Then some wiring on the headlights as they are aftermarket goodies. Lights are working fine but the job was horribly done.
Once that's done some interior decorating should be tackled. :smilebounce:

I can honestly say she now drives like a dream (apart from the little vibration)

Well that's me for now. Will update as the rest is being done.

Cheers
:tiptoe:

Props to you for doing all the necessary maintenance!

Brilliant Mechanical is my independent of choice in CT, and typically they do a very good job!

I understand, I see you tackled mechanical bits and since it was not a DIY repair done by you it is not easy to ask a workshop to take pictures of the progress/parts changed. :biglol:

OP, maybe look into the guilbo, aka propshaft section for the vibration. Had it on my E46 330i and the guilbo was shot, cause vibration.

Maybe look at the vibration itself if it gets more aggressive if you stomp the gas pedal and letting go of the I'm flying pedal.

Yes...that can also be a possibility. Let me first do the exhaust as it is missing a few things. If thats done and vibration still present then yes

Great looking E46, just needs an M-Tech 2 kit and it'll be a head turner. Love the wheels!
