I would appreciate that a lot bud, especially the engine live data while driving. I'm sure we will learn something about the no.6 injector...

I drove the car to Stephan Smith in Delarey yesterday. I've been fighting with the dealershit regarding the car and who is going to pay blah blah blah, but I've had enough and just want the car to be fixed so I can drive it again.

Stephan has the injector out, was a bitch to get out. The place who he usually uses to recon injectors can't fix my injector, so it's time to maybe see if we can get some other place to recon the injector or maybe get a decent 2nd hand one from somewhere. January is a crap month to have work done on your car

So the injector came back from Bosch and they reckon it's fine... FFS I just can't win with this car.

Stephan says it's definitely the injector, but I'm not so sure. This is a nightmare.

I sent letters to MFC, wrote a complaint to MFC, MFC escalated it to die Dealer Principal at the dealershit, and I've got it posted on FB. I financed through MFC and I have a warranty. The car is currently at a workshop getting looked at. I requested that the dealership pay for everything and ensure my warranty is reset

Really sucks that you having such a major issue with your car and the dealershit...

I can agree that, CAW is a terrible dealer to buy from. They are unethical to great extents. Last year, i helped a fanatic from DBN buy his dream car from CAW. The price went up each time we called to ask about the car, due to it being a limited edition, the buyer had no choice but to pay the second quoted price as he did not have proof of the first price. Even then, they messed us around, stopped taking calls, wanted affidavits etc so that i could collect the car on his behalf. And it was over R600k cash deal.

Geez it seems I'm not the only one who has battled with these clowns. With a reputation like this I can't see the dealership going forward...

But they always do, another uninformed buyer will rock up at the dealership and see a supposed decent car at a reasonable price and get taken hook, line and sinker....

There are more companies with bad reputations than good but somehow these guys still manage to trade.

You have hit the nail on the head... I consider myself an informed buyer and the car I bought is very decent for the price I paid - but I just want the dealership to take responsibility for the car's faulty state so I can use the damn thing. Obviously this will cost them money, but the potential damage a customer like myself could inflict on their business far outweighs spending a few grand to fix a car. Businesses in SA in general lack that sense of pride in their services/products, and the general public suffers as a result of that attitude

Okay Stephan says it's injector no. 4 that's causing the problem. He is going to take it to Bosch for testing today. I am not convinced, but let's see what turns up.

Dis sommer kak die. I feel for you man

Dankie Andy! Ja dit raak nou belaglik man, ek kan nie glo hoe lank hierdie hele storie nou vat nie, ek het elke oggend vir die laaste 5 weke wakker geword en onmiddelik daai angs gevoel oor my kar.

Okay it looks like the car has been sorted. Stephan will just test the car to make sure it's sorted now, but he says she's running very well.

It looks like it was Injector no. 4 that was faulty.

Thats fantastic news Martin. Could they recon the injector or replacement only?

Stephan got a decent second-hand injector for R4700, and given the fact that my warranty only covers R3500, I'm pretty much certain I'm gonna need to buy vaseline... :blueCry:
