Collin you car looks good  well done.

@Arbee thanks for the kind words.

In my opinion your car is still the best looking 330d around. Anyone can add in splitters and a wheel which i have done. Its what sets them apart, thats the decider.
The effort you have put in your car shows and makes it stand out from the rest. You still the king

well today went and bought a spare wheel kit, after i found out the rough price of a run flat for these rims, rough quote i got was nearly R9000 a tyre so opted to keep to non run flat tyres as the quote for hankook was just over R15000 for four and the yokis was a R1000 more

will first finish up the achilles but i have been warned by tiger wheel that it isnt suited for a bmw,and will have to be gentle with them

Colin, stay clear of TWT, they VERY expensive, their tires are way more then other shops, my Pirelli's was R700 a tire cheaper at autoquip then TWT

Can you fit runflats to these wheels, was under the impression you needed a specific type of rim specifically for runflats.

Colin it should be fine its a decent enough tyre, should be more than adequate provided you not doing daily timed laps on the Nurburgring....

Could they substantiate what they were saying?

from what the tyre places I been at told me that achilles are part of yokohama and its a fairly decent tyre? compared to your previous tyres do they grip much less? is the car a bit more tail happy? I actually fitted achilles again based on the recommendation of superquick and HiQ :fencelook:

1stly- Colin your car looks amazing dude :bravo:

2ndly- Marius I have them on mine and can't complain but you don't get Achilles in every size . So for someone like me with narrow and wides I think I'll move across to continental or some other more popular brand for that reason and that reason only. But they are pretty good in the wet and seem to give good mileage.

I was told the same thing by Supaquick (Yokohama family)

actually it is only brought in by the same suppliers as yokahama,so not made by yokahama.

was told that the achilles start to vibrate after 10 000km,as they get flat spots across the threads, also they have had a couple of tyres where thread has seperated from side wall

tiggy, autoquip will never see me or one of my cars again, they were supposed to do the alignment on the navara, left ther and as i turned right nearly rolled the bakkie, crawled to twt and found that they never tightened any of the nuts, got it sorted and went back, and was sworn at by the owner telling me to get lost, this was the centurion branch

twt i have a contact and get good discount compared to other twt dealers, and i have tested them at it

am going to finish up the achilles first but gonna becareful

Colin update your signature with a new photo :fencelook:

I haven't really pushed the achillie tyres hard.. the ones I had on only did like 1000km and the ones I have on now about 200km... so far I cant complain about the tyre the road noise is acceptable the grip seems good although I haven't really driven in wet weather allot but lets see how they hold up... im sure if the grip on them sucks Colin will see it easy the 330D has allot of torque... my poor 325 couldn't even carry those 19" around

dropped of the bm at the dealers to fix the rear window trimming, came loose, and on the way back stopped off at a tyre place, got a quote for 4 good year F1 aysmmetric 2 tyres,R9560 including wheel alignment and balancing.
R6000 cheaper than the yokahama at twt

so might sell the achilles or keep them as a spare set
