problem now is,i can see plenty speeding tickets coming

Told you the landy isn`t what you needed. :fencelook:

I bought another one

2005 defender 110 with 152000km on clock in mint condition
1 owner,long range tank,bull bar,spots and fender tops

ive added a spare wheel carrier and hi lift jack.

my defender90 is all sorted now, have done 3000km in 2 months and runs very well, using her every day

the bm,well its gathering dust in the garage,if I get a good offer might let it go

the navara, well also in garage but wont go anywhere, one hell of a bakkie worth keeping

Charlton, Colin might just accept like 70k for the 330d. If I were you I'd make the offer. You wanted another decent daily...

Land Rover wouldn't give him more than 50k for trade. Anything more for him is going to be a bonus. Looks like E90 value has fallen with the facelift of the F30 :mmm:

well I had a very good offer from a friend here on fanatics, and said I would let him know......

but........

I took it for its weekly run on Tuesday and realised why I wanted one so badly myself, everything about this car is mind blowing, never forget the day I took delivery, within an hour, tail lights changed, blacked out badges were on,and took it off the floor with black rims, and later that night,my first run with her,the Saturday, second outingand that was world record attempt at Kyalami.

since then I have had only good times with her, even getting the AC Schnitzer rims I so badly wanted, which made the car even better looking.

yes I have gone the land rover route and love them to bits,2 in the drive way and still want another, they are completely different to any other car I have ever driven,i still wonder why I never wanted one sooner, but I had to go the route I did, otherwise I would've never had the 330d.

so taking in to account that the 330d only gets to do 110km in a week,it is irreplaceable, even if i do take the offer,i will never ever get a car like this again, and besides,it was my son that came running in to the spares department at BMW fountains, while I was buying 1 liter oil, that he had found my 330d,that look on his face I will never forget.

so guys, sorry ,but my 330d is not for sale

and I bought another vehicle.............

I must stop now or else.........

actually its a vehicle for the whole family, was told it sleeps six but later found out it sleeps at least 8 people, has 3 wheels so not an RV,and no it isn't a caravan.lol

its a camper trailer, camptech weekender, double bed in the trailer section with 3 add a rooms, and 3 sides for the extended rally tent, got it at a real good bargain.

will be going up to Northern Cape soon to test it out, real nice thing about it ,is it can be towed by any one of the vehicles in the driveway, not that I would tow with the 330d,its a bit low

hopefully after this trip,i will get some photos and then post them up

so it has been officially sold, will be going sometime during the week or the latest Saturday.

it has been a wonderful journey, the day I picked her up was her first midnight run,and next day was the world record event at Kyalami.since then we have attended many events, ones I will never forget.

I will miss her, badly ,and she will always be remembered as the best sedan I have ever owned, reason why I let her go was I needed to free up some cash for another project, not car related, but in the long run this project will be well worth it

so for now I have a choice of 2 landies and a navara to drive, most probably the landies will be my first choice,so much character and a very relaxed drive, did 2500km when I went on holiday in the 110 defender,600km of dirt roads and was such a pleasure, camped out under the stars and on the banks of the orange river just outside Kakamas.

so maybe this is a good bye as I doubt that I will be really welcome in a landie, but one day I will be back in a BMW

thanks for the good times
cheers
Colin
