328i Fuel Con

Hi Guys

My 328i is very heavy on fuel!

I filled R1000 so far and only got abt 230km

What could be the problem?

It def cant be normal for this car to be so heavy.

Please help

I assume it is the F30 and that sounds very high, there must be something wrong

If you drive the 328 in boost all the time, I guess you should be able to achieve that :blab:

No way, my 335i gets more mileage out of half a tank of fuel.

Eish!

i need to take it to someone who can check.

Any good places?

Someone told me it could be the fuel filter and plugs:fencelook:

its an E36 328i

recently bought the car...

never do a service as yet..

if i do a diagnosis will it pick up ?

Diagnostics will pick up if the MAF is not working correctly and also show if any sensors need replacing

Service the car.

Change oil, plugs and all filters.

Also have the exhuast looked at for any leaks.

My e46 M3 which is definitely overfueling due to the o2 sensors being dead still gets R1.78 per km.

So... I would get over 500km from R1000.00

Definitely something not right there brother.

its manual

Everything seems fine..

I have a Dastek chip for it?

Will it make a diff? need some1 who can install it for me

Any1 you guys recommend?

TBH fix the problem before trying to tune it...

look for vacuum leaks and check/clean/replace the sensors

tuning a car with problems is pointless... it was designed to run well from factory if it is not running well now (in this case using way to much fuel) then something needs to be fixed...
