Hello, I've just swopped my 318i motor with a 325i non vanos. I installed the ecu 's loom etc car just swings no spark.
The crank pick up had 3 pin , can sensor 3pins and idle control valve has 3pin and I don't know which plug goes were as they are all the same...
Does anyone know a way I can figure out which plug goes were.

crank and cam wires go to 2 designated female plugs from the harness which sit inside a bracket next to the block, the icv is a shorter protruding 3 pin plug that can only reach the icv, will try to post pics if you have not come right yet

All show no go?? what do you mean by no acceleration? have a look at the fuel pressure as well as dirty injectors, could also be that the injectors might not get a good signal and inject the fuel efficiently or a faulty throttle position sensor, let me know if you find the problem

ahh simple solution for this one, take the icv if you hold it in your hand and shake it and it does not open and close freely (should make clicky clicky noises) then just take some brake parts cleaner and give it a good spray through the in and out points after you put everything back just make sure there are no vacuum leaks, i find the hose part that connects to the intake quite flimsy as though it does not clip in and seal, just use some water pipe thread tape stuff to wrap around it so it can seal properly, and if this doesnt work then we keep troubleshooting, worste case is just a faulty icv
