My brother has a F10 535d and bought his partner a E90 320i and he was very impressed with the way it drives.

I went from and E36 328i to and E46 320d. The difference in ride quality between the E36 to the E46 is incredible. Now climb into the e90 and take it for a spin. Its not about the power / speed. its about how it feels.

It may not be a fast as the others but its a BMW and it still has that special feeling when you drive it.

Theres a lot of guys that cant even afford a 320i, so before making statements like that, take into account that you are lucky enough to have a higher end spec model.
The 320i was not built for speed, but will last a very long time and get you to anywere very comfortable.
Stop bringing the discussion of speed into the 320i, because any bmw fan will understand why there is an entry model.
For those who want a relaible, comfortable and good lookig car with a limited budget, i dont see why a 320i is such a bad car.

Well said!!!

Andy Priaulx's BMW 320si WTCC.
The 320si is a special homologation version, built in order to qualify the car for the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).[32] It was released in 2006 and limited to 2,600 units. The 320si uses a modified 4-cylinder engine (N45) different from the standard 320i (N46). Modifications include an increased redline to 7,300 rpm, a shortened stroke (by 2 mm), an increased bore (by 1 mm) and a higher compression ratio (11.0:1). The engine is mostly hand built and does not have Valvetronic, decreasing the number of moving parts. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 8.1 seconds and acceleration in fourth gear from 80 km/h (50 mph) to 120 km/h (75 mph) takes 7.7 seconds compared with a standard 320i which achieves them in 9.0 and 9.1 seconds respectively. Fourth gear acceleration is comparable to that of the 325i which achieves the 80 to 120 km/h (50 to 75 mph) sprint in 7.5 seconds. BMW WTCC works driver Andy Priaulx won two of his three consecutive World Championships in the 320si E90 as well as four other drivers achieving over 35 wins in the championship since the cars release.
The BMW 320si is used by Team RAC and Airwaves BMW in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Colin Turkington won the 2009 BTCC Drivers championship using the BMW 320si.

Guys, it is my opinion about a pool car from BMW with 86000 km on the clock fitted with an auto box, it's not a personal attack on your caracter, it's an opnion, so please calm down.

I only had a 330d and 335 to compare with, I did not expect 335 power, but it realy surprised me how sluggish it is.

PS:I only drive an E90 because they don't sell new E46's anymore, IMHO, between 2 x E36's, 3 x E46's and 2 E90's, the best drivers car remains the E46. Again please, it's my OPNION:rollsmile:

everything is slow when you compare it to this...

no offense to the owner of this car but its a waste in my opinion. all the power and you are not able to use it. and it must be downright scary to drive. the e30s struggled with traction even in stock mode.

320i is not a bad car. its not the car for a boy racer its a good car.

I can understand why so many people feel this way about the 320i
Yes, it is lacking in powere, BUT go from the other side of the eschelons, from a 318i or a different brand 4 cylinder and then the 320i will seem very comfortable and usable.

GOing from a 335i to anything less will have the latter pale in comparison. Going from a Opel 1.4 to a 320i will have the former pale in comparison in every sense

don't bother dude, he wont even understand your post properly. he obviously is quite bored and got nothing else better to do than to go type up a rant about a loan car....if he had any logic, he would understand why the car feels so badly underpowered and neither would he have put the most intelligent title of 320i vs 335i. Now if he had bothered to understand the difference, he would have a complete understanding as you do.

Reading your crappy response, I did not understand (my low intelligence) at first, but I only saw your signature now.......Enough Said:thumbs:

Now you need reading glasses as well cause you took so long to see such a big signature:tease:

maybe you need to downscale to a 118i so you dont let important things fly by you

:roflol::roflol::roflol:

BTW - i wasnt stabbing at you or getting angry, i had enough of this 320i bull, so i rather just have fun and be sarcastic as sh*t!!!:thumbs::thumbs:

IMO - your E46 is a piece of rubbish:tease: :roflol:
and that is my opinion, not taking a stab at anyone or anything:praise::roflol::roflol:

I have the exact same model, although they didnt let us have the 320si engine, but everything else is the same, Naruto also has it as well:thumbs:

bring the 335i and come, i can bet Jacques24 his car, that i will beat him like a red-headed step-child in reliability from now till 300 000km's.....your HPFP and FRP WILL give up somewhere along the line!!!! :tease:

and i did say reliability and not speed!!! lol

didnt say it wasnt fast in a straight line. u still cant use that power. hope all that power has equivalent stopping and stability control mods. its a coffin on 4 wheels. very impressive build but a bit too out of control for my liking.

Well now you just pulling things out your arse.
Edited, bold print: and that is exactly why a real driver drives it currently and not someone with no intention of owning or knowing how to drive a car like this.
