320i vs 335i

Dear fellow fanatics

I have just been delivered a 2010 320i Auto Exclusive. This is my car for the next 2 days untill BMW sorts out my buckled rims of the 335i.

With all honesty, it must be the most uninspiring/under performing/dangerous car I have ever driven:fencelook:

It's as slow as :censored:!!! There is absolutely no difference between Sport/Normal/Manual or even the pedal position. The rev counter seems to be working (cause it goes from left to right) but that's about it:argh::roflol::roflol:

:sorry: if any of the 320i auto guys taks offence, but seriously, this is not why BMW builds motor cars

I can understand why so many people feel this way about the 320i
Yes, it is lacking in powere, BUT go from the other side of the eschelons, from a 318i or a different brand 4 cylinder and then the 320i will seem very comfortable and usable.

GOing from a 335i to anything less will have the latter pale in comparison. Going from a Opel 1.4 to a 320i will have the former pale in comparison in every sense

don't bother dude, he wont even understand your post properly. he obviously is quite bored and got nothing else better to do than to go type up a rant about a loan car....if he had any logic, he would understand why the car feels so badly underpowered and neither would he have put the most intelligent title of 320i vs 335i. Now if he had bothered to understand the difference, he would have a complete understanding as you do.

Funny that you mention it, but I had between the E90 330d and E90 335 (for about a year) owned and driven more than 40k km a new Renault Megane 1.4t. I will gladly have it any day back if 320i auto's are the only option. I drove a E46 320i (6 cyl) as well, will have that over the E90 any day. Maybe because it's a loaner from BMW (at 86k km), maybe it's broken, but I will rather have a small 1.6 hatch manual, before a 320i Auto:fencelook:

I also had to drive a 320i once when my car was in for repair at bmw, and it was one of the more luxerious mdels, it had parking sensors front and rear, sunroof, auto everything, 18" wheels, I mean almost everything I can think of.
I actually put in an aplication on the car, and almost bought it, until I got my baby back and re-experienced how she handles and performs, and cancelled the aplication.

I agree with you both, for someone having a "better" bmw than a 320i, you will feel let down by the 320i, but for someone coming from a tazz, a citigolf, a corsa... you catch my drift, to a 320i, they will be in heaven.

Reading your crappy response, I did not understand (my low intelligence) at first, but I only saw your signature now.......Enough Said:thumbs:

Oh No!!!!

How can u even compare a 320i to a 335i(as in your title), thats such an unfair comparison!!!!

Obvious the 320i will feel sluggish and under powered compared to the 335i!

Cmon the 320i is the baby from its 3 series big brothers!!!

Take it easy there Jacques.... comming from a 335i to anything lower will have a dramatic feel at first. i used my sisters 2011 320i manual for a 2 weeks recently and it was a pain at first but eventually it felt better!! its just a big slugish in the first 3 gears there after its a good drive and will easily get to 220kph on the freeways!!!

320i drivers dont take this seriously!! its a great car car IMO!!!! and BMW have lifted the game with the new Turbo units!!!

Theres a lot of guys that cant even afford a 320i, so before making statements like that, take into account that you are lucky enough to have a higher end spec model.
The 320i was not built for speed, but will last a very long time and get you to anywere very comfortable.
Stop bringing the discussion of speed into the 320i, because any bmw fan will understand why there is an entry model.
For those who want a relaible, comfortable and good lookig car with a limited budget, i dont see why a 320i is such a bad car.

Oh well... I guess it happens when you compare a 115kw car with it's big brother of 225kw bla bla bla...

Let's not kill each other guys...with unnecessary come backs. I think Jacques24 was just expressing his experience with the car, of course not everyone will share the same sentiments, and yes... expressing an issue does not have to offend others as well.

Truce!?????
