Hey Guys

On a 2007 320D Auto the current software is E89X-07-06-520.

There is an update available which is E89X-12-07-504...my question is does it make a big difference and is it worth doing the update?
Anyone have any idea what the update will affect or target??

Thanks guys:ty:

Under motor plan? Looking for a dealer to do an update on mine. How did you get the software version?

And would you say it was worth it...not sure of the actual benefits...sometimes I wonder if some of these "upgrades" only really benefit the dealers...

All depends what you wanna do!
If you want to have performance softrware loaded afterwards then do it because such an update is beneficial for the gearbox as well

If you don't intend getting performance software then just leave it as is

My 320d had the update done today due to a buzzing noise inside the car, this was done on motor plan

When being done out of plan, the dealers aren't very keen to do it if the car isn't experiencing any problems, as there's a risk of damaging the ecu when re-coding the car from scratch

The update in my view is worth it, as the internal modules such as the radio, gearbox, sun roof, lights etc run some what smoother.

Hope this helps
