Good day fanatics
Any comments to my dilemma will be appreciated....
I was driving home on Friday night in my E90 320d which is rare since I ride a bike...
anyway I stopped to put in R50 fuel and continued. My car started playing up. every time I pulled off the car would jerk a few times until it came up to driving speed, sometimes with a noise that sounds like a bad cv joint. This got worse and worse the further I went, but I managed to get home.
It seemed to get progressively worse after my fuel stop, so im wandering if it was possible they put petrol in my diesel car.
The problem may or may not be linked to the refuel, but its a co-incidence.
My question is, is this possible? would I have possibly got that far if this is the case?
My plan of action is to put in diesel from a jerry can to dilute the current fuel if it is the issue, and try make it to my nearby mechanic tomorrow night.

with only R50 of diesel, are you sure that you didn't run out of diesel with the amount covered after the fill up?

not sure if its best to get the Petrol pumped out, or if you can dilute with diesel, maybe someone else can shed light

Could be too little diesel and tank combined with a bad batch of it too.. Add some more diesel from Sasol for instance and drive the car hard a bit and see?

I would recommend you check what is in the tank and if it is a mix, drain the tank and then clean out the filter and everything else that you can. The diesel actually helps lubricate the HP and this can cause serious problems.

Aren't the nozzles different for Diesel and Petrol ?

R50 Diesel is like 3L, maybe it was just to little.
