Powerflow posted a pic on their insta page?
If it is, your car is super hot!raise:
Looking forward to your feedback
Only on day four of my normal routes, and so far avergae is at 7.6km/h (compared to the usual 8.0, so so far so good)
Enjoy

But you guys drive a diesel for the good consumption right?
Does it really bother you that much if your car is 2km/l heavier?
Or am I the only one not worried about it

I drive it because of the torque...
to me it doesn't really matter....

My car is stock, just the dp fitted now. Very happy with the more audible turbo whistle and response has definitely improved.
Just a quick question, did you guys get fairly heavy fumes outside of the car? Only drove the car back to work now from Powerflow and it smelled pretty bad when I got out in the underground parking. I know more of a fume is to be expected after the decat, it just seemed quite strong. Havent noticed any extra smoke when driving at all though.
Other than that, it feels awesome :bravo:

I wanted to do this on mine since I bought it , but was reluctant, I recently fitted new tyres and taking it in for new control arms, if I still have it a year from now I will definitely get the DP fitted.
what map are you running?
is the money spent on a DP and software really worth it?
I am running ChipLogic software, with a mild map that was designed not to max out the gearbox and not smoke to much.
My Personal opinion, if you don't do this conversion, you are truly missing out on what the true potential of this Car is. It really does awaken the car up. it makes it more dynamic , sharper and smoother even. definitely improves owner satisfaction and driving pleasure.
I had map only for over a year. That completely changed the car. i used to not feel confident in overtaking maneuvers when it was stock as it felt like it ran out of puff after 3000rpm. That surge of torque was great, but short lived. After the map, the surge of torque greatly increases and you get that shove in your seat, as well as it feels as if the power keeps going right to the end of the rev range. I associate this with the flat power curve that most mapped 2.0D get at the end of the rev range, and you feel it. Consumption wise, my car after the map actually dropped by 0.2 L/100km.
I dint expect much difference with the downpipe, but it actually does.
It takes about 200km for the ecu to adapt and for you to really feel a difference. it eliminates that slight lag that was there between 1800 and 2000rpm. the engines feels more smoother and linear. As well as the sound. driving normally there is no difference to stock. when you plant it though, it actually sounds mean lol! Consumption wise after downpipe im still raking up enough mileage to say. i want to do at last 2 weeks of my normal commute and routes and then can say if any improvement. But judging o how it feels now, and how it seems to sit on lower consumption on my daily routes, im expecting my average to drop by another 0.1 ;/100km. time will tell
As for worth it... yes 200 times over! you end up with Golf 7 Gti power and frugality to get over 1000km on a tank long distance... what else would you want?
Hope this helps,

What is the current price of a DP at powerflow?
These cars with DP only( no SW), does it throw any errors?
Thanks.

Getting a DP and full exhaust done on the d tomorrow.. DP alone was quoted at R1.8k.. It shouldn't throw any errors on pre-'12 models (so I've heard).. If it does, a cat fooler is required, which an exhaust shop would be able to source.
Although in Jhb, I think they range between R2k and R3.5k, if I read correctly.
