320D Diesel Leak

Hi Fanatics

I have a strange problem. I have a diesel leak on the vehicle. this only happens once car is cold. once hot no leak.

it is not leaking at the injectors as this is dry, but somewhere close to the diesel filter or pre-pump. I lifted the car whipped all clean and started the car. no signs of leak but car was at operating temperature.

when car was full to the brim it leaked more but once empty it leaks less. I suspected the line from fuel tank but it is not there

any advise will be helpful

Hi MR S1NGH 911

on the vehicle it sits before the fuel pump as indicated in picture below indicated by arrow



this is indicated as the Valve Preheating. At 23 dollars I think I will replace the valve rather. part no 3

Took this part out and replaced

Replaced all claamps on piping.

Now to fill up and monitor

Ok so the part replaced was half of problem.

Still leaking but on the diesel pump before the diesel filter on the supply feed

Can a diesl pump be resealed or will it be best practice to replace.

New pump meyle is 2400.

This has been fixed. New pump, feul line, filter and clamps. All good. High pressure pump leaking on side wall.

Does anyone know if it can be refurbed?
