Only major issue was a rear subframe tear which is an issue on these cars but its fixed. Other than that the normal wear and tear replacements.

Awesome....heard that the motors on the 6 cylinders are good for 300k...
got mine on 166 000, 8 years later its on 243 000 and still going strong. maintenance issues but nothing has broken touch wood.

Thanks very much guys. After all the work put in I think I might just keep on going till I can get a nice x35i, M3. That should be in a few years time. No use in selling the car for max R60 000.00. Can't even get a Polo for that money.
I know my car. I know where it needs more TLC and where all is fine. I love the car. I love the straight six scream. With the new performance bits its even more enjoyable.
Maybe in a few years when I get a new car i might think of doing an engine overhaul and looking at FI for this one.
