So whats the deal with the diesel variants? I did not know they also came in diesel
Should be a great combo too, but I guess lower specced because no S/JCW variants in diesel?

Almost impossible to find a Cooper SD locally. They are here and there but few and far between and not worth the trouble when it comes to economy and parts availability locally.

Thanks for the replies was only to catch-up now. It's a pvt sale from a guy I know whose family are mini aficionados so I am not concerned about the history as it was maintained well and spec'd well.

I never thought about the WBC route to be honest I've always been a bit worried about buying a car from them.... but then I found this... thoughts?

They use the B48 so very reliable and easy to find parts, as this engine used on every thing from a 1 series to a 5 series. Just ultra rare though. I ahve only seen one before.

You see the D's more in a Countryman, which if you find a Countryman with Led headlights spec'ed, but it lol.

If this has full service history and checks out with Coismon this is def worth a look

Case and point. WBC does not know what they are selling. That is not a GP3, it should have that ghastly looking aero kit, so this is just a plain JCW. If you know what you are looking for, you know what to look for WBC is a sunken pirate ship of treasure. Pricing seems to be semi decent though.

Drove a newer JCW and was sold.... Took delivery last week, very happy for a run around! Had a breakfast run on Sunday with some friends and it's surprisingly quick
Great cars these !

A performance bargain, did a little check the other day, on average these are 200k cheaper than a comparative Golf GTI

I picked up a 2018 Cooper S 4 door DCT for R285k ...has motorplan until April 2025. Good options including heads-up display, car play, keyless. 60,000km bought from Mini dealer.

This is our scond mini and what a cracker, proper joy to drive. Motorplan already replaced battery and engine mount 1 month into ownership. So I scored there.

You didn't mention price so just mentioning what can be had. Shop around.

On the F series, out of plan Mini's are a bit of a lucky packet. 38k km is low, but a few things to note:
1. They're noisy cars: Everything is compact, so listen for body-roll, sunroof creaks etc.
2. Door seals: Notoriously bad quality so starts to seperate/break
3. B series engines: while reliable, has a few plastic parts, oil filter housing is a usual suspect for coolant leaks (post 100k km)
4. Suspension and mounts: Top engine mount, along with control arms can be an issue (given how tight the suspension is)
5. Battery: The AGM batteries usually go after 5 years, check if it's been replaced (original costs >R5-6k)
6. Tyres: The tyres are a bit of an odd size (high profile, but relatively narrow (225 or 205), especially on the 18s) so can be expensive if up for replacement
